Presenting Reports from Committees

Mr. Tweed (Brandon—Souris), from the Standing Committee on Transport, Infrastructure and Communities, presented the Eighth Report of the Committee (extension of time, pursuant to Standing Order 97.1, to consider Bill C-511, An Act respecting the reporting of motor vehicle information and to amend the Motor Vehicle Safety Act (improving public safety)). — Sessional Paper No. 8510-403-186.

A copy of the relevant Minutes of Proceedings (Meeting No. 45) was tabled.

Pursuant to Standing Order 97.1(3), the motion to concur in the Report was deemed moved, the question deemed put and a recorded division was deemed requested and deferred until Wednesday, February 16, 2011, immediately before the time provided for Private Members' Business. Pursuant to Standing Orders 68(2) and 69(1), on motion of Mr. Stanton (Simcoe North), seconded by Mr. Storseth (Westlock—St. Paul), Bill C-619, An Act to amend the Canadian Wheat Board Act (notice of opting out and licence for activities), was introduced, read the first time, ordered to be printed and ordered for a second reading at the next sitting of the House.


Pursuant to Standing Orders 68(2) and 69(1), on motion of Mr. Sweet (Ancaster—Dundas—Flamborough—Westdale), seconded by Mr. Van Kesteren (Chatham-Kent—Essex), Bill C-620, An Act to amend the Corrections and Conditional Release Act (parole review and victim impact statement), was introduced, read the first time, ordered to be printed and ordered for a second reading at the next sitting of the House.

Business of Supply

The Order was read for the consideration of the Business of Supply.

Mr. Blais (Gaspésie—Îles-de-la-Madeleine), seconded by Mr. Paquette (Joliette), moved, — That this House issue an official apology to the people whose properties were expropriated to create Forillon Park for the unconscionable manner in which they were treated, and that the Speaker of the House send the representatives of the people whose properties were expropriated and of their descendants an official copy of the Journals of the House of Commons indicating the adoption of this motion.

Debate arose thereon.
