| Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Friday, August 27, 2010, your Committee has agreed to report the following: | Conformément à l’article 108(2) du Règlement et à la motion adoptée par le Comité le vendredi 27 août 2010, votre comité a convenu de faire rapport de ce qui suit : |
| That the Government of Canada re-instate the mandatory long-form census; and that the government introduce legislative amendments to the Statistics Act to remove completely the provision of imprisonment from Section 31 of the Act and this would therefore apply to the Census of Population, the Long-Form Census and the Census of Agriculture. | Que le gouvernement du Canada rétablisse le formulaire détaillé obligatoire du recensement; et que le gouvernement du Canada apporte des modifications à la Loi sur la statistique de manière à supprimer l’emprisonnement prévu à l’article 31 de cette loi, modification qui s’appliquerait au Recensement de la population, au formulaire détaillé du recensement et au Recensement de l’agriculture. |
