The Standing Committee on Veterans Affairs met at 11:03 a.m. this day, in Room 269, West Block, the Chair, David Sweet, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Guy André, Bonnie Crombie, Greg Kerr, Ben Lobb, Colin Mayes, Phil McColeman, Robert Oliphant, Peter Stoffer, Brian Storseth, David Sweet and Robert Vincent.

 

Acting Members present: John Rafferty for Peter Stoffer and Borys Wrzesnewskyj for Hon. Judy Sgro.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Jean-Rodrigue Paré, Analyst.

 

Witnesses: Royal United Services Institute of Nova Scotia: Heather MacKinnon, Medical Doctor. As an individual: William Maguire. Gerontological Advisory Council: Victor Marshall, Chair.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, March 11, 2010, the Committee resumed its review of the new Veterans Charter.
 

Victor Marshall made a statement and answered questions.

 

At 12:07 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:08 p.m., the sitting resumed.

 
The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.
 
At 12:17 p.m., pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, March 11, 2010, the Committee resumed its review of the new Veterans Charter.
 

Heather MacKinnon and William Maguire made statements and answered questions.

 

At 1:05 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
