Pursuant to Standing Order 32(1.1), messages received from the Senate were deposited with the Clerk of the House earlier today, as follows:

Conformément à l'article 32(1.1) du Règlement, des messages reçus du Sénat sont déposés auprès de la Greffière de la Chambre plus tôt aujourd'hui comme suit :

— ORDERED: That a message be sent to the House of Commons to acquaint that House that the Senate has passed Bill C-62, An Act to amend the Excise Tax Act, without amendment.

— ORDONNÉ : Qu'un message soit transmis à la Chambre des communes pour l'informer que le Sénat a adopté le projet de loi C-62, Loi modifiant la Loi sur la taxe d'accise, sans amendement.
— ORDERED: That a message be sent to the House of Commons to acquaint that House that the Senate has passed Bill C-56, An Act to amend the Employment Insurance Act and to make consequential amendments to other Acts, without amendment.

— ORDONNÉ : Qu'un message soit transmis à la Chambre des communes pour l'informer que le Sénat a adopté le projet de loi C-56, Loi modifiant la Loi sur l'assurance-emploi et modifiant d'autres lois en conséquence, sans amendement.

Royal Assent Sanction Royale

A message was received informing the Commons that on December 15, 2009, at 6:35 p.m., the Honourable Louis LeBel, Puisne Judge of the Supreme Court of Canada, in his capacity as Deputy of the Governor General, signified Royal Assent by written declaration to the following Bills:

Un message est reçu avisant les Communes que le 15 décembre 2009, à 18 h 35, l'honorable Louis LeBel, juge puîné de la Cour suprême du Canada, en sa qualité de suppléant de la Gouverneure générale, a octroyé la sanction royale par déclaration écrite aux projets de loi suivants :

Projet de loi C-51, Loi portant exécution de certaines dispositions du budget déposé au Parlement le 27 janvier 2009 et mettant en oeuvre d'autres mesures — Chapitre no 31;
Bill C-62, An Act to amend the Excise Tax Act — Chapter No. 32;
