Monday, May 4, 2009

The Standing Committee on National Defence met in camera at 3:33 p.m. this day, in Room 362, East Block, the Chair, Hon. Maxime Bernier, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Claude Bachand, Hon. Maxime Bernier, Ray Boughen, Hon. Denis Coderre, Cheryl Gallant, Jack Harris, Laurie Hawn, Hon. Anita Neville, Pascal-Pierre Paillé, LaVar Payne and Hon. Bryon Wilfert.

Acting Members present: Jacques Gourde for Steven Blaney, Jean-Yves Laforest for Claude Bachand and Hon. John McKay for Hon. Denis Coderre.

In attendance: Library of Parliament: James Cox, Analyst.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Monday, February 23, 2009, the Committee resumed its study of health services provided to Canadian Forces personnel with an emphasis on post-traumatic stress disorder.

The Committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That the Committee meet on May 25 and 27, 2009, to consider a draft report related to its study of health services provided to Canadian Forces personnel with an emphasis on post-traumatic stress disorder.

It was agreed, — That the Committee provide hospitality for the delegation from the Parliament of Pakistan with whom it will meet on Tuesday, May 12, 2009.

At 5:32 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
