The Standing Committee on Industry, Science and Technology met at 3:32 p.m. this day, in Room 308, West Block, the Hon. Chair, Michael D.Chong, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Robert Bouchard, Gord Brown, Hon. Michael D. Chong, Marc Garneau, Mike Lake, Brian Masse, Anthony Rota, Dave Van Kesteren, Robert Vincent, Mike Wallace and Chris Warkentin.

 

Acting Members present: Hon. Hedy Fry for Siobhan Coady.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Alysia Davies, Analyst.

Pursuant to the Order of Reference of Thursday, February 12, 2009, the Committee resumed consideration of Bill C-4, An Act respecting not-for-profit corporations and certain other corporations.
 

Elly Meister, Thomas Warner, Christiane Brizard and Al Hatton made statements and, with Eva Kmiecic, answered questions.

 

At 4:28 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:30 p.m., the sitting resumed.

 

Roger Charland made a statement and, with Wayne Lennon and Coleen Kirby, answered questions.

 

At 5:18 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
