The Standing Committee on Finance met at 9:00 a.m. this day, in the Copper Room, Yellowknife Inn, Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, James Rajotte, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Bob Dechert, Jean-Yves Laforest, Massimo Pacetti and James Rajotte.

Acting Members present: Dennis Bevington for Thomas J. Mulcair.

Associate Members present: Ron Cannan.

In attendance: Library of Parliament: June Dewetering, Chief Analyst ; Mark Mahabir, Analyst . House of Commons: Travis Ladouceur, Committee Clerk.

Pursuant to Standing Order 83.1, the Committee resumed its pre-budget consultations 2009.

Larry Connell, Mary Lou Cherwaty, Katherine Mackenzie, Tim Schultz, Suzette Montreuil, Aggie Brockman, Margaret Melhorn, David Simailak, Andrew Gamble and Jean-François Des Lauriers made statements and answered questions.

At 10:57 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
