An Act to amend the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, 1999

(a) by replacing, in the English version, lines 36 and 37 on page 2 with the following:

“(l) the development of methodologies to determine the seed-to-combustion life-cycle emissions of greenhouse gases and other pollutants for each type of biofuel feedstock;

(m) the total allowable seed-to-combustion life-cycle emissions of greenhouse gases and other pollutants for each type of biofuel feedstock;

(n) the prohibition of the use of genetically modified organisms for biofuel production; and

(o) the establishment of restrictions on the use of arable land for biofuel production to ensure that biofuel production does not have a detrimental impact on the food supply in Canada and other countries.”
