The Standing Committee on Government Operations and Estimates met at 9:06 a.m. this day, in Room 214, Wellington Building, the Chair, Hon. Diane Marleau, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Harold Albrecht, Charlie Angus, Diane Bourgeois, Patrick Brown, Raymonde Folco, Mark Holland, Daryl Kramp, Hon. Diane Marleau, James Moore and Chris Warkentin.

 

Acting Members present: Carole Lavallée for Meili Faille, Christian Ouellet for Meili Faille, Marcel Proulx for Mario Silva and Todd Norman Russell for Mario Silva.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Philippe Le Goff, Analyst; Mathieu Stanton, Analyst.

 

Witnesses: Canada Revenue Agency: Lysanne Gauvin, Assistant Commissioner, Human Resources Branch; Claude Bourget, Director General, Human Resources Transformation and Corporate Management Directorate.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, January 29, 2008, the Committee commenced its study of Geographic Distribution and Turnover Rate of Federal Public Servants.
 

Lysanne Gauvin made a statement and answered questions.

 
The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.
 

On motion of Raymonde Folco, it was agreed, — That this Committee undertake a brief study on the improvement of Passport Canada's services in the regions of Canada.

 

At 11:02 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
