The Standing Committee on Citizenship and Immigration met at 1:40 p.m. this day, in the Jubilee A Room, Heritage Inn Moose Jaw, Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, the Chair, Norman Doyle, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Dave Batters, Colleen Beaumier, Robert Carrier, Norman Doyle, Nina Grewal, Ed Komarnicki and Thierry St-Cyr.

 

Witnesses: Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters: Gurcan Kocdag, National Board. Kramer Ltd.: Jan Katerynych, Human Resources Manager and In House Counsel. Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce: Steve McLellan, Chief Executive Officer. Moose Jaw Multicultural Council Inc.: Tara Blanchard, Executive Director. Canadian Immigrant Settlement Sector Alliance (CISSA): Darcy Dietrich, Member-at-large. Culture Connect Int'l Ltd: Olukayode (Kay) Adebogun, Senior Immigration Consultant.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, November 22, 2007, the Committee resumed its study of undocumented and temporary foreign workers.
 

Gurcan Kocdag, Jan Katerynych and Steve McLellan made statements and answered questions.

 

At 1:50 p.m., Thierry St-Cyr took the Chair.

 

At 2:19 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 2:21 p.m., the sitting resumed.

 

Tara Blanchard and Darcy Dietrich made statements and answered questions.

 

At 3:02 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 3:18 p.m., the sitting resumed.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, December 11, 2007, the Committee resumed its study of Immigration Consultants.
 

Olukayode (Kay) Adebogun made a statement and answered questions.

 

At 3:48 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
