By unanimous consent, it was ordered, — That, notwithstanding any Standing Order or usual practice of the House, in relation to the motion respecting Senate amendments made to Bill C-2, An Act providing for conflict of interest rules, restrictions on election financing and measures respecting administrative transparency, oversight and accountability, the length of speeches be ten minutes maximum and the speeches be not subject to a question and comment period; and after no more than one speaker from each of the recognized parties have spoken, the motion be deemed agreed to on division.

The Order was read for the consideration of the amendments made by the Senate to Bill C-2, An Act providing for conflict of interest rules, restrictions on election financing and measures respecting administrative transparency, oversight and accountability.

Mr. Baird (President of the Treasury Board), seconded by Mr. O'Connor (Minister of National Defence), moved, — That amendments numbered 2, 25, 34 to 54, 55(a) to (d), 55(e)(ii) to (viii), 56 to 62, 65 and 94 made by the Senate to Bill C-2, An Act providing for conflict of interest rules, restrictions on election financing and measures respecting administrative transparency, oversight and accountability, be now read a second time and concurred in.
