The Standing Committee on Public Accounts met at 3:21 p.m. this day, in Room 269, West Block, the Chair, the Hon. Shawn Murphy, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: David Christopherson, Jean-Yves Laforest, Mike Lake, Hon. Shawn Murphy, Richard Nadeau, Pierre Poilievre, Marcel Proulx, David Sweet, John Williams and Borys Wrzesnewskyj.

 

Acting Members present: Raymonde Folco for Yasmin Ratansi and Mike Wallace for Brian Fitzpatrick.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Brian O'Neal, Analyst; Alex Smith, Analyst.

 

Witnesses: Council of Ontario Universities: Ian Clark, President. University of Ottawa: Denis Desautels, Executive Director.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumed its study on the Review of the Roles and Responsibilities of the Treasury Board Secretariat.
 

Ian Clark and Denis Desautels made an opening statement and answered questions.

 

On motion of David Sweet, it was agreed, — That the Treasury Board do provide to the Committee all the documentation that would represent the process of performance evaluation and review for deputy ministers.

 

At 4:28 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:31 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

 
The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.
  • Consideration of Draft Report no. 10, Chapter 4 (Canadian Firearms Program).
 

At 5:20 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
