The Standing Committee on Transport met at 3:30 p.m. this day, in Room 371 West Block, the Chair, Roger Gallaway, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Dave Batters, Raymond Bonin, Robert Carrier, Bev Desjarlais, Hon. Roger Gallaway, Jim Gouk, Hon. Jim Karygiannis, James Moore, Francis Scarpaleggia and Caroline St-Hilaire.

 

Associate Members present: Mario Laframboise.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: John Christopher, Analyst; Allison Padova, Analyst.

 

Appearing: Hon. Jean C. Lapierre, Minister of Transport.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on November 25, 2004, the Committee resumed its study of the Return of arable land to farmers and former owners in Mirabel.
 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee proceeded a briefing session on Air Liberalization.
 

The Minister made a statement and answered questions.

 

At 4:30 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:36 p.m., the sitting resumed.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee proceeded to a briefing session on Ports.
 

Randy Morriss, Peter Lavallée and Laureen Kinney made statements and, with the other witnesses, answered questions.

 

At 5:35 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
