The Standing Committee on Citizenship and Immigration met at 1:04 p.m. this day, in the Saanich, Victoria Conference Centre, Victoria, British Columbia, the Chair, Andrew Telegdi, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Diane Ablonczy, Hon. David A. Anderson, Colleen Beaumier, Meili Faille, Hon. Hedy Fry, Inky Mark, Bill Siksay, Andrew Telegdi and Lui Temelkovski.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Benjamin Dolin, Analyst.

 

Witnesses: As an individual: Joe Taylor. Camosun College: Brenda Storr, Associate Dean. Victoria Immigrant and Refugee Centre Society Staff: Roy Leaman. As an individual: Donald Galloway. Victoria Immigrant and Refugee Centre Society Staff: Marianne van der Meij, Coordinator, Aaron Gordon Settlement Centre.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Wednesday, October 27, 2004, the Committee resumed its study on Citizenship Issues.
 

Joe Taylor made a statement and answered questions.

 

At 1:38 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 1:42 p.m., the sitting resumed.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and motion adopted by the Committee on Wednesday, October 27, 2004, the Committee resumed its study of Recognition of the International Experience and Credentials of Immigrants.
 

Brenda Storr and Roy Leaman made statements and answered questions.
