The Subcommittee on National Security of the Standing Committee on Justice and Human Rights met at 3:40 p.m. this day, in Room 371, West Block, the Chair, Derek Lee, presiding.
Members of the Subcommittee present: Derek Lee, David Pratt and Kevin Sorenson.
Acting Member present: Robert Laframboise for Robert Lanctôt.
Other Member present: Bill Blaikie.
In attendance: From the Parliamentary Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Marilyn Pilon, Analyst.
Witness: From the Canadian Security Intelligence Service: Ward P. Elcock, Director.
Pursuant to a motion of the Standing Committee on Justice and Human Rights adopted on Wednesday, November 6, 2002, the Subcommittee commenced consideration of the Main-Estimates 2003-2004: Vote 10 under Solicitor General of Canada - Canadian Security Intelligence Service.
Ward P. Elcock made a statement and answered questions.
At 5:14 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
