Meeting No. 28

Tuesday, May 27, 2003

The Standing Committee on National Defence and Veterans Affairs met at 9:18 a.m. this day, in Room 362, East Block, the Chair, David Pratt, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Rob Anders, Robert Bertrand, Dominic LeBlanc, Anita Neville, David Pratt, Elsie Wayne.

In attendance: From the Parliamentary Branch of the Library of Parliament: Michel Rossignol, Research Officer; Barry Hamilton, Consultant.

Witness: From the University of Manitoba: Dr. James Fergusson, Deputy Director, Centre for Defence and Security Studies.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumed consideration of its study on Canada-United States Defence Cooperation and on other related issues.

James Fergusson made an opening statement and answered questions.

At 11:02 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
