The Standing Committee on National Defence and Veterans Affairs met at 9:10 a.m. this day, in Room 362, East Block, the Chair, David Pratt, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Claude Bachand, Leon Benoit, Cheryl Gallant, Ivan Grose, Dominic LeBlanc, Joe McGuire, Anita Neville, Lawrence O'Brien, David Pratt, David Price, Elsie Wayne.
In attendance: From the Parliamentary Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Michel Rossignol, Research Officer.
Witnesses: From the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade: Jill Sinclair, Director General, International Security Bureau; Michael Dawson, Deputy Director (Political), United States General Relations Division.
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumed consideration of its study on Canada-United States Defence Cooperation and on other related issues.
Jill Sinclair made an opening statement and, with the other witness, answered questions.
At 11:00 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
