The Standing Committee on Health met at 3:37 p.m. this day, in Room 209, West Block, the Chair, Bonnie Brown, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Carolyn Bennett, Bonnie Brown, The Hon. Hedy Fry, Réal Ménard, Rob Merrifield, Svend Robinson, Hélène Scherrer and Carol Skelton.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Nancy Miller Chenier and Sonya Norris, Research Officers.
Witnesses: From the Canadian HIV Trials Network: Dr. Martin Schechter, National Director / Canada Research Chair in HIV/AIDS and Urban Population Health. From the Canadian Treatment Action Council / Voices of Positive Women: Louise Binder, Chair. From the YouthCo AIDS Society: Sheena Sargent, Education Programs Coordinator.
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee commenced its study of the Canadian Strategy on HIV/AIDS.
The witnesses made statements and answered questions.
At 5:20 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
