The Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs met in camera at 3:42 p.m. this day, in Room 112-N, Centre Block, the Chair, Peter Adams, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Peter Adams, Marlene Catterall, Rodger Cuzner, Michel Guimond, Gerald Keddy, Lynn Myers, Geoff Regan and Jacques Saada.
Acting Members present: Ted White for Dale Johnston; Dick Proctor for Yvon Godin.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: James Robertson, Principal; John M. Wright, Research Assistant.
Pursuant to the Electoral Boundaries Readjustment Act, R.S.C. 1985, c. E-3, the Committee commenced consideration of the matter of the objections to the report of the Electoral Boundaries Commission for Alberta.
The Committee commenced consideration of the report of the Subcommittee on Electoral Boundaries Readjustment.
It was agreed, - That the report of the Subcommittee be the report of the Committee and that the Chair do present the report to the House.
Pursuant to its mandate under Standing Order 108(3)(a)(vi), the Committee commenced consideration of matters relating to political financing.
The Committee considered options for a draft report.
At 4:31 p.m., the sitting was suspended.
At 4:50 p.m., the sitting resumed.
At 4:58 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
