Meeting No. 7

Thursday, December 5, 2002

The Standing Committee on Fisheries and Oceans met in camera at 11:11 a.m. this day, in Room 705, La Promenade Building, the Chair, Tom Wappel, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Andy Burton, John Cummins, Rodger Cuzner, Georges Farrah, Dominic LeBlanc, Bill Matthews, Jean-Yves Roy, Peter Stoffer, Tom Wappel.

In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Alan Nixon and François Côté, research officers.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee commenced a study of the Atlantic cod fishery (See Minutes of Proceedings, Tuesday, December 3, 2002, Meeting No. 6).

The Committee discussed issues related to the Atlantic cod fishery.

At 12:17 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
