The Standing Committee on Fisheries and Oceans met in camera at 11:09 a.m. this day, in Room 536, Wellington Building, the Chair, Tom Wappel, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: John Cummins, Georges Farrah, Loyola Hearn, Dominic LeBlanc, Bill Matthews, Jean-Yves Roy, Peter Stoffer, Tom Wappel.
Acting Members present: Chuck Strahl for Andy Burton, Derek Lee for Rodger Cuzner, John Maloney for R. John Efford
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Alan Nixon and François Côté, research officers.
It was agreed, - That members of the Committee meet informally with members of a delegation from South Africa on February 4, 2003, at 3:30 p.m.; and that the Clerk of the Committee make the necessary arrangements for this meeting.
It was agreed, - That members of the Committee meet informally with members of a delegation from Norway on February 5, 2003, at 3:30 p.m.; and that the Clerk of the Committee make the necessary arrangements for this meeting.
Pursuant to Standing Order 108 (2), the Committee resumed its study on Marine Communications and Traffic Services (See Minutes of Proceedings, Thursday, November 7, 2002, Meeting No. 2).
The Committee resumed consideration of a draft report.
At 11:56 a.m., the sitting was suspended.
At 12:00 p.m., the sitting resumed.
At 12:56 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
