The Standing Committee on Transport and Government Operations met at 3:33 p.m. this day, in Room 701 La Promenade, the Chair, Ovid Jackson presiding..
Members of the Committee present: John Cannis, Joe Comuzzi, Bev Desjarlais, André Harvey, Ovid Jackson, Mario Laframboise, Val Meredith, James Moore, Alex Shepherd, Paul Szabo.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: John Christopher; June Dewetering, Researchers.
Witnesses: From the Vancouver International Airport Authority: Larry Berg, President and Chief Executive Officer; Craig Richmond, Vice President of Airport Operations. As Individual: Peter St-John. From the Group 4 Securitas: Paul Rivenbark, President and CEO; Kevin Bennett, Vice President, Canadian Operations; Michael Ramsden, Regional Vice President.
In accordance with Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumed consideration of its study on the current state of airline safety and security in Canada.
The Witnesses each made an opening statement and answered questions.
At 5:33 p.m. the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
