Thursday, October 25, 2001

The Standing Committee on Public Accounts met at 3:35 p.m. this day, in Room 209, West Block, the Chair, John Williams, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: John Bryden, John Finlay, Rahim Jaffer, Pat Martin, Shawn Murphy, Gilles-A. Perron, Beth Phinney, Alex Shepherd and John Williams.

Acting Member present: Monique Guay for Odina Desrochers.

In attendance: From the Parliamentary Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Brian O'Neal and Jean Dupuis, Research Officers.

Witnesses: As Individuals: John L. Fryer, Former Chair of the Advisory Committee on Labour-Management Relations in the Federal Public Service and Penny Driscoll, Former Director, Committee Secretariat of the Advisory Committee on Labour-Management Relations in the Federal Public Service.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(e), the Committee proceeded to consider the Final Report of the Advisory Committee on Labour-Management Relations in the Federal Public Service, Working Together in the Public Interest.

John L. Fryer made a statement and, with the witness, answered questions.

At 5:20 p.m., the Committee adjourned until 3:30 p.m., Tuesday, October 30, 2001.
