Tuesday, February 5, 2002
The Standing Committee on National Defence and Veterans Affairs met at 3:30 p.m. this day, in Room 362, East Block, the Chair, David Pratt, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Claude Bachand, Colleen Beaumier, Leon Benoit, Stan Dromisky, Cheryl Gallant, John O'Reilly, Janko Perić, David Pratt, David Price, Carmen Provenzano, Peter Stoffer, Bryon Wilfert and Bob Wood.
In attendance: From the Parliamentary Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Wolf Koerner and Michel Rossignol, Research Officers.
Witness: As Individual: Major-General (retired) Clive J. Addy.
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumed consideration of its study on the state of readiness of the Canadian Forces.
John O’Reilly moved, - That the proposed operational budget of the Sub-Committee on Veterans Affairs, in the amount of $40,000 for a study on Long-Term Care for Veterans, be adopted by the Committee.
The question being put on the motion, it was agreed to.
The witness made an opening statement and answered questions.
At 5:20 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
