Ottawa, August 15, 2001 - The House of Commons Standing Committee on Canadian Heritage wishes to announce that the deadline for the submission of briefs for the Committee’s study of the Broadcasting Act, originally August 15, 2001, has been extended to September 10, 2001.

This new deadline applies equally to the submission of requests to appear before the Committee during its study hearings.

Stakeholders are assured their briefs will not be made public prior to their appearance before the Committee.

The study’s Terms of Reference, which should guide stakeholders in drafting their submissions, are posted on the Committee’s Website: /Error/Error.asp"left">(Aussi disponible en français)
