The Standing Committee on Canadian Heritage met in a televised session at 9:07 a.m. this day, in Room 237-C, Centre Block, the Chair, Clifford Lincoln, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Jim Abbott, Claude Duplain, Christiane Gagnon, Roger Gallaway, Betty Hinton, Wendy Lill, Clifford Lincoln, Grant McNally, Dennis Mills and Tony Tirabassi.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Terrence Thomas, Research Officer; Alan Cofman, intern; Consultant: David Black.
Witnesses: From the AOL Time Warner Inc.: Casey B. Anderson, Vice-President, International Public Policy. From the AOL Canada: Ian Hembery, Vice-President, Government Relations and Communications.
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumed its study on the State of the Canadian Broadcasting System. (See Minutes of Proceeding, dated Thursday, November 8, 2001, Meeting No. 26).
The witnesses made statements and answered questions.
At 11:00 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
