Tuesday, June 5, 2001
The Standing Committee on Fisheries and Oceans met at 9:11 a.m. this day, in Room 536, Wellington Building, the Chair, Wayne Easter, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Sarkis Assadourian, John Cummins, Wayne Easter, Dominic LeBlanc, Bill Matthews, Guy St-Julien, Peter Stoffer.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Alan Nixon, Research Officer.
Witnesses: From the Canada-Nova Scotia Offshore Petroleum Board: Jim Dickey, Chief Executive Officer. From Natural Resources Canada: Duncan Smith, Adviser, Hydrocarbon Revenues, Frontier Lands Management Division.
Pursuant to Section 52 of the Oceans Act, the Committee resumed its review of the Act.
Jim Dickey made a presentation and, with Duncan Smith, answered questions.
At 10:36 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
