    The Chair (Mrs. Sue Barnes (London West, Lib.)): Good afternoon, everyone.

    The order of the day is Bill S-40, an act to amend the Payment Clearing and Settlement Act. We have with us from the Department of Finance, Denis Normand, senior chief, payments, financial sector division, financial sector policy branch, and Doug Wyatt, general counsel, general legal services. Welcome, both of you.

    The order of the day is the clause-by-clause consideration of this short bill. The clerk and the legislative clerk advise me that they have not received any amendments at this point in time, so we're going to go directly to clause-by-clause.

    Clause 1 agreed to

    The Chair: Shall the title carry?

    Some hon. members: Agreed.

    The Chair: Shall the bill carry?

    Some hon. members: Agreed.

    The Chair: Shall I report the bill to the House?

    Some hon. members: Agreed.
