The Standing Committee on Finance met at 9:35 a.m. this day, in Room 209, West Block, the Chair, Sue Barnes, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Sue Barnes, Carolyn Bennett, Roy Cullen, Sophia Leung, Grant McNally, The Hon. Maria Minna, Shawn Murphy, Charlie Penson, Bryon Wilfert.
In attendance: From the Research Branch of the Library of
Parliament: June Dewetering, Acting Principal, Blayne Haggart; and
Marc-André Pigeon, Research Officers.
Witnesses: From Statistics Canada: Doug Norris, Director General, Census and Demographic Statistics.
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee continued its pre-budget discussions.
The witnesses made a statement and answered questions.
At 10:20 a.m., Shawn Murphy took the Chair.
At 10:23 a.m., Sue Barnes took the Chair.
At 10:38 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
