The
Standing Committee on Agriculture and Agri-Food met at 9:08 a.m. this day, in
Montmagny, Quebec, the Chair, Charles Hubbard, presiding.
Members of the Committee

Larry McCormick, Dick Proctor, Paul Steckle, Rose-Marie Ur.
Acting Member present: Odina Desrochers for Suzanne

Pursuant to Standing Order
108(2), the committee resumed its study of the Future Role of the Government in
Agriculture.
Moved by Howard Hilstrom,
seconded by Odina Desrochers,--That, in relation to its examination of the
Future Role of the Government in Agriculture, eight (8) members of the Standing
Committee on Agriculture and Agri-Food and the necessary staff be authorized to
travel to Washington, D.C., for a period of three (3) days during the month of
April, 2002.
The motion was agreed to.

Hilstrom,-That the committee approve a budget of $42,368 to cover the costs of
this travel and that the Chair be instructed to request these funds from the
Liaison Committee.
The motion was agreed to.
At 9:20 a.m., Claude
Duplain took the Chair.

At 12:03 p.m., the
Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
