The Standing Committee on Aboriginal Affairs, Northern Development and Natural Resources met at 11:15 a.m. this day, in Room 536, Wellington Building, the Chair, Nancy Karetak-Lindell, presiding.
Member(s) of the Committee present: Gérard Binet, Rodger Cuzner, John Finlay, John Godfrey, Nancy Karetak-Lindell, Richard Marceau, Pat Martin and Maurice Vellacott.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Jean-Luc Bourdages and Mary Hurley, research officers.
Witness(es): From the Metis National Council: Tony Belcourt, Representative; Gerald Morin, President.
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), Briefing on the Metis National Council.
Gerald Morin and Tony Belcourt made statements and answered questions.
The Committee held a discussion regarding Reports from Commissions.
At 1:05 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
