Meeting No. 32

Thursday, May 4, 2000

The Standing Committee on National Defence and Veterans Affairs met in a televised session at 9:00 a.m. this day, in Room 237-C, Centre Block, the Chair, Pat O'Brien, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Robert Bertrand, Gordon Earle, Jim Hart, René Laurin, Pat O'Brien, John O'Reilly, Janko Peric, David Pratt and George Proud.

In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Wolf Koerner and Corinne McDonald, Research Officers.

Witness: As Individual: Prof. Jim Fergusson, Deputy Director, Centre for Defence and Security Studies.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumed consideration of its study on the Revolution in Military Affairs - National Missile Defence.

The witness made an opening statement and answered questions.

At 10:55 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
