The Standing Committee on Canadian Heritage met at 11:09 a.m. this day, in Room 371, West Block, the Chair, Clifford Lincoln, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Mauril Bélanger, Sarmite Bulte, Pierre de Savoye, Rick Limoges, Clifford Lincoln, Inky Mark, Mark Muise, Caroline St-Hilaire.

Acting Member present: Joseph Jackon, Research Officer.

Appearing: From the House of Commons: The Hon. Hedy Fry, Secretary of State for Multiculturalism and Status of Women.

Witnesses: From the Department of Canadian Heritage: Norman Moyer, Assistant Deputy Minister, Citizenship and Canadian Identity.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), meeting with the Secretary of State Multiculturalism and Status of Women.

The Hon. Hedy Fry made a statement and, with Norman Moyer, answered questions.

At 12:47 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
