Thursday, February 17, 2000

The Standing Committee on Canadian Heritage met in a televised session at 11:08 a.m. this day, in Room 237-C, Centre Block, the Chair, Clifford Lincoln, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Mauril Bélanger, Cliff Breitkreuz, Sarmite Bulte, Pierre de Savoye, Wendy Lill, Rick Limoges, Clifford Lincoln, Inky Mark, Mark Muise and Alex Shepherd.

In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Joseph Jackson, Research Officer.

Witnesses: From the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation: Robert Rabinovitch, President and CEO; James McCoubrey, Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), meeting with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.

Robert Rabinovitch made a statement and, with James McCoubrey, answered questions.

At 12:54 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
