Wednesday, November 18, 1998
The Sub-Committee on Private Members' Business of the Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs met at 3:39 p.m. this day, in Room 371, West Block, the Chair, Lynn Myers, presiding.
Members of the Sub-Committee present: Madeleine Dalphond-Guiral, André Harvey, Joe Jordan, Lynn Myers.
Acting Members present: Ken Epp for Deborah Grey; John Solomon for Bill Blaikie.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: James Robertson, Research Officer.
Witnesses: From the House of Commons: Rob Anders, Rick Borotsik, Garry Breitkreuz, John Bryden, Jim Gouk, René Laurin, Suzanne Tremblay, Ted White.
Pursuant to the order of reference from the Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs, adopted on Monday, September 29, 1997, the Sub-Committee proceeded to study the process for the selection of votable items.
The witnesses made a statement and answered questions.
At 5:36 p.m., the Sub-Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
