MINUTES OF PROCEEDINGS (Meeting No.9) Wednesday, November 19, 1997 The Standing Committee on Public Accounts met in camera at 5:45 o’clock p.m., this day, in Room 209, West Block, the Chair, John Williams, presiding. Members of the Committee present: Sue Barnes, Mac Harb, Gurmant Grewal, Steve Mahoney, Philip Mayfield, Lynn Myers, Rey Pagtakhan and John Williams. Acting Member present: Derrek Konrad for Jason Kenney. Witnesses: From the Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Brian O’Neal, Research Officer. From the Office of the Auditor General of Canada: Ronnie Campbell, Director, Audit Operations Branch. Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(e), the Committee proceeded to the consideration of Chapter 13 of the April and October 1997 Report of the Auditor General of Canada (Health Canada - - First Nations Health). (See Minutes of Proceedings dated Tuesday, October 21, 1997, Meeting No. 3) Brian O’Neal made an opening statement, and with the other witness, answered questions. At 6:51 o’clock p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair. |
