The Standing Committee on Public Accounts met in camera at 3:48 o’clock p.m., this day, in Room 209, West Block, the Vice-Chair, Ivan Grose, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Odina Desrochers, Mac Harb, Gurmant Grewal, Ivan Grose, René Laurin, Philip Mayfield, Lynn Myers, Rey Pagtakhan and John Williams.
Acting Members present: John Maloney for Mark Assad, Ian Murray for Steve Mahoney, David Pratt for Sue Barnes.
In attendance: From the Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Brian O’Neal and Jean Dupuis, Research Officers.
Pursuant to Standing Order 108 (3)(e), the Committee resumed consideration of the Draft Report on Chapter 25 of the December 1997 Report of the Auditor General of Canada (Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Immigration and Refugee Board - The Processing of Refugee Claims).
Paragraphs 13 to 19 inclusive were agreed to.
At 4:37 o’clock p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
