Investor–State Dispute-Settlement Mechanisms: Selected Impacts


On Friday, October 23, the committee adopted the following motion:

That, pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the committee undertake a study of the impacts of the Investor-State Dispute Settlement (ISDS) mechanism; that the committee devote a minimum of two (2) meetings to this study; that briefs submitted to the committee do not exceed 2,000 words and that the committee report its findings and recommendations to the House.

The committee is currently receiving submissions from those interested in this topic. Submissions should not exceed 2,000 words. Once received, briefs are translated, distributed to committee members and posted on the committee's website.

The deadline for submitting briefs has not been set. As soon as a deadline has been set, it will be posted on the committee's website.
