On Thursday, September 18, 2025, the committee adopted the following motion:
That, pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the committee undertake two studies, one on the experience of Indigenous veterans, and a second on the experience of Black veterans; that the evidence and documentation received by the committee during the first Session of the 44th Parliament in relation to its study of the experience of Indigenous and Black veterans be taken into consideration by the committee in the current session; and that the committee hold at least one meeting to receive witness testimony in relation to the study of the experience of Black veterans.
