May 7, 2024 — Mr. Poilievre (Carleton) — That, given that, since the NDP-Liberal Prime Minister took office, opioid overdose deaths across Canada have increased by 166% according to the most recent data available, 7 mai 2024 — M. Poilievre (Carleton) — Que, étant donné que, depuis que le premier ministre néo-démocrate–libéral est en fonction, les surdoses mortelles d’opioïdes au Canada ont augmenté de 166 % selon les dernières données disponibles,
the House call on the Prime Minister to: la Chambre demande au premier ministre :
(a) proactively reject the City of Toronto's request to the federal government to make deadly hard drugs like crack, cocaine, heroin, and meth legal; a) de rejeter de façon proactive la demande de la Ville de Toronto pour que le gouvernement fédéral rende légales des drogues dures mortelles comme le crack, la cocaïne, l’héroïne et la méthamphétamine,

(c) deny any active or future requests from provinces, territories and municipalities seeking federal approval to make deadly hard drugs legal in their jurisdiction; and c) de refuser toutes demandes en cours ou futures des provinces, des territoires ou des municipalités pour que le gouvernement fédéral approuve la légalisation de drogues dures mortelles sur leurs territoires,

May 7, 2024 — Mr. Poilievre (Carleton) — That, given that, since the NDP-Liberal Prime Minister took office, opioid overdose deaths across Canada have increased by 166% according to the most recent data available, the House call on the Prime Minister to recognize the deadly failure of his drug use legalization policies and commit to never grant again an exemption, like he did for British Columbia, under the Controlled Drug and Substances Act that would allow the use of deadly hard drugs like opioids, crack, cocaine, heroin, and meth in any public space, in any province, territory or city. 7 mai 2024 — M. Poilievre (Carleton) — Que, étant donné que, depuis que le premier ministre néo-démocrate–libéral est en fonction, les surdoses mortelles d’opioïdes au Canada ont augmenté de 166 %, selon les dernières données disponibles, la Chambre demande au premier ministre de reconnaître l’échec funeste de ses politiques de légalisation de la consommation de drogues et de s’engager à ne plus jamais accorder d’exemption, comme il l’a fait pour la Colombie-Britannique, en vertu de la Loi réglementant certaines drogues et autres substances, qui permettrait la consommation de drogues dures mortelles comme les opioïdes, le crack, la cocaïne, l’héroïne et la méthamphétamine dans l’espace public, et ce, dans n’importe quelle province, n’importe quel territoire ou n’importe quelle ville.
