Q-14872 — May 2, 2023 — Mr. Patzer (Cypress Hills—Grasslands) — With regard to the government's Black-tailed Prairie Dogs recovery program and to the designation of the prairie dog as an endangered species by the Committee on the Status of Endangered Wildlife in Canada: (a) what is the population threshold that must be met for the Black-tailed Prairie Dog to no longer be considered an endangered species; (b) when listing the Black-tailed Prairie Dog as an endangered species, does the government consider (i) the large population of Black-tailed Prairie Dogs outside of Canada, (ii) that southern Saskatchewan is only the northern tip of a much larger and more expansive habitat which runs through the continental United States and down to Mexico; (c) if the government does not take the factors in (b) into account, why not; (d) how much funding was allocated to research and programming for the Black-tailed Prairie Dog recovery program since 2021; (e) what parameters are put in to determine the success of the recovery program; (f) what progress has been made; and (g) has the implementation of the program had any adverse effects on (i) private property in the vicinity of Grasslands National Park, (ii) other wildlife within Grasslands National Park?

May 2, 2023 — Mr. Poilievre (Carleton) — That, given that intimidation tactics of the People's Republic of China are being deployed against many Canadians of Chinese decent in diaspora communities across the country, which are widely reported and well established through the House of Commons’ committee testimony and reports by Canada’s security establishment, including reports indicating that families of members of Parliament are subjected to an intimidation campaign orchestrated out of Beijing’s consulate in Toronto, the House call on the government to stop delaying and immediatly:
(a) create a foreign agent registry similar to Australia and the United States of America;
(b) establish a national public inquiry on the matter of foreign election interference;
(c) close down the People's Republic of China run police stations operating in Canada; and
(d) expel all of the People's Republic of China diplomats responsible for and involved in these affronts to Canadian democracy.

(iii) refused to answer questions as to when and what he knew about the People’s Republic of China targeting families of members of Parliament in an intimidation campaign to influence their activities and their conduct in the course of their parliamentary duties,

(iii) have to pay higher mortgage payments and rent costs because of the Prime Minister's failure to get new homes built, and
(iv) should not have to pay the exceedingly high costs of the Prime Minister's lavish accommodations,
the House call on the Prime Minister to repay the full amount charged to taxpayers for staying in a London hotel suite at a rate of $6,000 per night.
