Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the subcommittee on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, the subcommittee resumed its study of current situation in Tigray.

At 8:59 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 9:05 a.m., the sitting resumed.

Lambros Kyriakakos, Hermon Gidey, Dr. Abel Gidey Kebedom, Britawit Arefayne, Mukesh Kapila, Tihut Asfaw and Jeff Pearce made statements and, with Kidane Gebremariam and Feven Mulugeta, answered questions.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the study of the current situation in Tigray, the subcommittee provide adequate mental health supports to the witnesses, and that the clerk be authorized to make the necessary arrangements.

At 10:33 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 10:41 a.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The subcommittee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to subcommittee business.

At 10:46 a.m., the subcommittee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
