Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Friday, April 29, 2022, the committee resumed its study of Arctic sovereignty, security and emergency preparedness of Indigenous Peoples.

Robert Huebert, Sara Brown and Nick Daigneault made statements and answered questions.

At 5:21 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 5:22 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Richard Shimooka and Derek Fox made a statement and, with Michael McKay, answered questions.

At 6:05 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 6:11 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, the committee resumed its study of the effects of the housing shortage on Indigenous Peoples across Canada.

The committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

It was agreed, — That the draft report be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: "The Effects of the Housing Shortage on Indigenous Peoples in Canada".

It was agreed, — That the Chair, clerk and analysts be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.

ORDERED, — That the Chair present the report to the House.

ORDERED, — That the clerk and analysts of the committee, in consultation with the Chair, prepare a news release for publication on the committee’s website and for distribution upon presentation of the report to the House.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That additional witness lists for the study of Arctic sovereignty, security and emergency preparedness of Indigenous Peoples be submitted to the clerk by 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 9, 2022.

It was agreed, — That the meeting of Friday, June 17, 2022, be cancelled to allow members to participate in the raising of the Truth and Reconciliation flag over Parliament Hill.

At 6:34 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
