The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That the committee invite officials from the department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development to appear on the current situation in the Taiwan Strait and the study of Vaccine equity and intellectual property rights on February 14 and March 3, respectively.

It was agreed, — That the committee invite the Minister of Foreign Affairs to appear on the subject of her mandate letter for two hours.

It was agreed, — That the committee invite the Minister of International Development to appear on the subject of his mandate letter for two hours.

It was agreed, — That the meetings with the Ministers be scheduled at their earliest convenience.

It was agreed, — That the witnesses listed under meeting 2 on the draft workplan for the study of the situation at the Russia Ukraine border and the implications for peace and security, be approved.

It was agreed, — That one meeting on the study of the situation at the Russia Ukraine border and the implications for peace and security be held at the end of March, and one meeting be held in April.

At 11:52, the sitting was suspended.

At 11:58, the sitting resumed in public.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Monday, January 31, 2022, the committee proceeded to a briefing on the Current Situation in Haiti.

Michael Grant made a statement and, with Sebastien Carrière and Sylvia Cesaratto, answered questions.

At 1:00 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
