Pursuant to the order of reference of Wednesday, June 1, 2022, the committee commence consideration of Bill S-211, an Act to enact the fighting against forced labour and child labour in supply chains Act and to amend the Customs Tariff.

The Chair calls Clause 1.

John McKay and Julie Miville-Dechêne made statements and answered questions.

At 4:41 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:48 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

Committee Business
The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That the clerk of the committee be authorized to grant access to the committee's digital binder to the offices of the whips of each recognized party.

At 5:44 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
