Pursuant to Standing Order 81(4), the committee resumed consideration of the Main Estimates 2020-21: Vote 1 under House of Commons, Vote 1 under Leaders' Debates Commission, Vote 1 under Office of the Chief Electoral Officer and Vote 1 under Parliamentary Protective Service, referred to the committee on Wednesday, September 30, 2020.

The Chair called Vote 1 under Office of the Chief Electoral Officer

Stéphane Perrault made a statement and, with the other witnesses, answered questions.

Motion

Daniel Blaikie moved, — That the Committee adduce the evidence from the November 19th, 2020 meeting on its study entitled “Main Estimates 2020-2021”, for use in the Committee’s study entitled, “the conduct of a federal election during the Covid19 pandemic.

After debate, the question was put on the motion and it was agreed to.

It was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $ 6,000, for the study of the conduct of a federal election during the COVId-19 pandemic, be adopted.

Motion

Corey Tochor moved, — That the committee refrain from ordering any catering for the duration of its hybrid meetings, pursuant to House Order, adopted on Wednesday, September 23, 2020.

After debate, the question was put on the motion and it was agreed to.

At 1:03 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
