Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, September 27, 2016, the Committee resumed its study of the Navigation Protection Act.

Motion

Luc Berthold moved, — That the Committee suspend the study of the Navigation Protection Act until the Minister of Transport submits his own modifications to the Navigation Protection Act to this Committee.

The question was put on the motion and it was negatived, by a show of hands: YEAS: 3; NAYS: 6.

David Marshall made a statement and answered questions.

Luc Berthold gave notice of the following motion:

That the Committee invite no further witnesses to appear as part of this study, and that it wait for the upcoming amendments from the Minister of Transport before continuing its work.

At 9:42 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 9:43 a.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $16,300.00, for the study of Navigation Protection Act, be adopted.

At 9:43 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
