The Subcommittee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Subcommittee business.

It was agreed, — That the request for reimbursement presented by Bill Casey regarding a witness who submitted her expense claim to the Standing Committee on Health after the 60-day deadline be concurred in.

It was agreed, — That the request for reimbursement presented by Deborah Schulte regarding a witness who submitted his expense claim to the Standing Committee on Environment and Sustainable Development after the 60-day deadline be concurred in.

The Clerk gave a presentation on the financial status of the global envelope for committee activities.

It was agreed, — That the Subcommittee on Committee Budgets of the Liaison Committee invite the Standing Committee on Veterans Affairs to prepare a detailed budget related to its travel proposal for its study Needs and Issues Specific to Indigenous Veterans, not exceeding $100,000 and one travel week, and submit it to the Subcommittee before March 2, 2018.

It was agreed, — That the Subcommittee on Committee Budgets of the Liaison Committee invite the Standing Committee on Agriculture and Agri-Food to prepare a detailed budget related to its travel proposal for its study Advancements of Technology and Research in the Agriculture Industry that Support Canadian Exports, and submit it to the Subcommittee before March 2, 2018.

It was agreed, — That the Subcommittee on Committee Budgets of the Liaison Committee invite the Standing Committee on International Trade to prepare a detailed budget related to its travel proposal for its study Priorities of Canadian Stakeholders Having an Interest in Bilateral and Trilateral Trade in North America, between Canada, United States and Mexico, and submit it to the Subcommittee before March 2, 2018.

It was agreed, — That the Subcommittee on Committee Budgets of the Liaison Committee invite the Standing Committee on Citizenship and Immigration to prepare a detailed budget related to its travel proposal for its studies Canada’s Immigration Processing Centers, The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees’ Determination and Referral Processes and Learning from Member States of the European Union Dealing with Sustained and Extraordinary Levels of Irregular Migration Since 2015, not exceeding $150,000 and one travel week, and submit it to the Subcommittee before March 2, 2018.

It was agreed, — That the Subcommittee on Committee Budgets of the Liaison Committee invite the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Development to prepare a detailed budget on the same terms and in the same amount as the travel budget approved by the Subcommittee for this study on November 30, 2017, and submit it to the Subcommittee before March 2, 2018.

It was agreed, — That the Subcommittee on Committee Budgets of the Liaison Committee invite the Standing Committee on Finance to prepare a detailed budget related to its travel proposals for its study Statutory Review of the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act, not exceeding $150,000, and submit it to the Subcommittee before March 2, 2018.

It was agreed, — That the Subcommittee on Committee Budgets of the Liaison Committee invite the Standing Committee on Fisheries and Oceans to prepare a detailed budget related to its travel proposals for its study Small Craft Harbours Program, not exceeding $100,000 and one travel week, and submit it to the Subcommittee before March 2, 2018.

It was agreed, — That the Subcommittee on Committee Budgets of the Liaison Committee invite the Standing Committee on Industry, Science and Technology to prepare a detailed budget related to its travel proposals for its study Statutory Review of the Copyright Act, not exceeding $100,000 and one travel week, and submit it to the Subcommittee before March 2, 2018.

It was agreed, — That the Subcommittee on Committee Budgets of the Liaison Committee invite the Standing Committee on National Defence to prepare a detailed budget related to its travel proposal for its study Canada’s Involvement in NATO, and submit it to the Subcommittee before March 2, 2018.

It was agreed, — That the Subcommittee on Committee Budgets of the Liaison Committee invite the Standing Committee on Public Safety and National Security to prepare a detailed budget related to its travel proposal for its studies Use of Ion Spectrometers by Correctional Service Canada, Indigenous People in the Correctional System and Inmate Work and Prison Industries, and submit it to the Subcommittee before March 2, 2018.

It was agreed, — That the Subcommittee on Committee Budgets of the Liaison Committee invite the Standing Committee on Transport, Infrastructure and Communities to prepare a detailed budget related to its travel proposal for its study Canadian Transportation and Logistics Strategy (Trade Corridors), and submit it to the Subcommittee before March 2, 2018.

At 1:53 p.m., the Subcommittee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
