Pursuant to Standing Order 81(4), the Committee resumed consideration of the Main Estimates 2016-17: Vote 1 under House of Commons and Vote 1 under Parliamentary Protective Service, referred to the Committee on Tuesday, February 23, 2016.

The Chair called Vote 1 under House of Commons.

The Speaker of the House of Commons made a statement and, with Marc Bosc, Michael Duheme and Philippe Dufresne, answered questions.

At 11:31 a.m., by unanimous consent and pursuant to Standing Order 115(5), it was agreed that the Committee continue to sit.

The Committee resumed consideration of Main Estimates 2016-17: Vote 1 under Chief Electoral Officer, Vote 1 under House of Commons and Vote 1 under Parliamentary Protective Service. Questioning of the witnesses resumed.

At 11:45 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:22 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Vote 1 under House of Commons carried on division.

Vote 1 under Parliamentary Protective Service carried on division.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(a) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, January 28, 2016, the Committee resumed its study of initiatives toward a family-friendly House of Commons.

David Natzler made a statement and, with Anne Foster and Joanne Mills, answered questions by videoconference from London, United Kingdom.

At 1:13 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
