Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, March 19, 2019, the Committee resumed its study of online hate.

Jennifer Klinck, Eleanor Fast, Morgane Oger and Ricki Justice made statements and answered questions.

At 9:44 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 9:50 a.m., the sitting resumed.

Cara Zwibel, by videoconference from Toronto, Ontario, and Jay Cameron made statements and answered questions.

At 10:37 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 10:43 a.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

It was agreed, — That the Committee sit for an additional 30 minutes at its meeting of Tuesday, May 28, 2019, to consider the parties’ general recommendations for the study of online hate; and that these recommendations be sent to the analysts no later than Thursday, May 23, 2019.

It was agreed, — That the Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure meet at the end of the Committee’s meeting of Tuesday, May 28, 2019, for 30 minutes.

At 10:57 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
